Brookgreen Gardens

Brookgreen Gardens was created in 1931 by Anna and Archer Huntington, two visionaries who wanted to exhibit and preserve American figurative sculpture in a beautiful garden of native southeastern plants and animals. It is now a beautiful place to explore and enjoy the beauty of nature and art.  Many events are held here throughout the year, including, at Christmas,  Nights of a Thousand Candles, a spectacular display of illumination  to be toured after dusk with live music, entertainment and food.
